CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an IT PMO Project Manager.
**Type:** Contract
**Job Title:** IT PMO Project Manager
**Location:** Remote – Corning, NY area or Charlotte, NC area preferred. Remote Eastern or Central Time Zone candidates considered.
**Pay Rate:** $62.86 – $85.05
**Work Hours:** M–F, 8am–5pm
**Education:** Bachelor’s Degree required
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced IT PMO Project Manager to lead critical IT and Finance projects. The ideal candidate will drive project execution, manage risks, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure delivery aligns with quality, compliance, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management expertise within complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead end-to-end project execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met
+ Develop detailed project plans, including milestones, resources, and dependencies
+ Maintain and manage RAID logs to track risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
+ Facilitate communication with stakeholders and leadership through regular status updates and reports
+ Build relationships with cross-functional teams and Finance stakeholders
+ Ensure compliance with company quality standards, SOX, and audit requirements
+ Oversee testing, defect management, and cutover planning for financial applications
+ Escalate issues and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely resolution
Required Qualifications:
+ 7+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT or PMO environments
+ Bachelor’s Degree required
+ PMP certification required (active dates must be listed on resume)
+ Agile or Scrum certification/training preferred
+ Strong skills in project planning, RAID management, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving
+ Experience working with Finance applications (SAP, PeopleSoft) and SOX compliance
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Domain Expertise:
+ Financial applications project delivery
+ SOX compliance documentation and audits
+ Test cycle management and defect analysis
+ Cutover planning and after-hours execution
+ Agile project methodologies
