Job Summary and Qualifications

The Cardiac Cath Lab Clerk handles administrative and support tasks like scheduling, supply ordering, patient check-in, and keeping the lab tidy, freeing up clinical staff for procedures; this role requires strong computer skills, organization, and often some medical terminology, working alongside nurses and techs to ensure smooth patient flow and a stocked, clean environment for heart procedures, focusing on clerical duties rather than direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative: Scheduling appointments, managing patient records, ordering supplies, handling patient property/valuables.

Clerical Support: Patient admission/discharge, answering phones, coordinating with other departments, maintaining cleanliness

Patient Interaction

Environmental: Ensuring the lab area is stocked, clean, and ready for incoming patients

Qualifications & Skills

High School Diploma/GED

Computer proficiency (PC skills)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification often required within 30 days of hire

Experience in a clerical or medical setting is beneficial
