Description:
Provides skills and knowledge necessary to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in Idaho only. Maintain patient and procedure documentation. Maintains equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams. Provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
2. Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
3. Three to five years of radiology experience required. Previous mammography experience preferred.
4. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS or as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
5. Must have active driving privileges. If, during the course of employment, driving privileges change or colleague receives a driving citation, the colleague is required to notify their supervisor and/or HR.
