Job Overview

Job Title: Dentist

Job Duties: Performs oral examinations and diagnoses and treats dental and oral disease to patients in clinic setting and in a portable setting via a mobile dental van or pop-up clinic. Performs restorations, extractions, prophylactic, and other dental work as indicated. Participates in development of dental policies, procedures, dental records, and quality improvement plan. Provide onsite dental care in mobile dental unit or pop-up clinics located throughout Iowa. No overnight stays required. Available for on call coverage to triage after hours calls.

Education Requirements. Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree or related field. Employer will accept a foreign equivalent degree.

Specific skills or other requirements: Eligible for State of Iowa Dental License. Willingness and ability to take call coverage to triage patients after regular business hours as needed. Willingness to travel up to 40% in a mobile dental unit or to a pop-up clinic in Iowa to provide onsite dentistry services. No overnight stays required.

Hours per week/Salary: 40 hours per week plus rotating after hours call as needed; Salary range $180,000 to $185,000/year
