    Job Description:

    Job Overview

     

    The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, products, and systems meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and driving compliance to customer and industry specifications.

    Job Requirements

    + **Quality Assurance & Control:**

    + Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes for manufacturing operations.

    + Monitor production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.

    + **Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:**

    + Investigate product and process non-conformances using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and FMEA.

    + Drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.

    + **Documentation & Compliance:**

    + Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and quality reports.

    + Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

    + **Continuous Improvement:**

    + Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve process capability and reduce defects.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.

    + **Supplier Quality:**

    + Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure incoming material meets specifications.

    + Participate in supplier audits and qualification processes.

    + **Training & Support:**

    + Provide training to production teams on quality standards and best practices.

    + Act as a technical resource for quality-related issues

    What your background should look like

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.

    + Strong knowledge of quality tools (SPC, PPAP, APQP, MSA).

    + Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.

    + Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification.

    + Knowledge of ERP systems and quality management software.

    + Ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.

    + Team player / Teamwork mindset

    + Continuous improvement mindset

    + History of working in a fast paced environment.

    + Ability to react to situations and communicate solutions to people with varying levels of product/ process knowledge.

    COMPENSATION

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $92,000 – 100,00(subject to change dependent on physical location)

    • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

    • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
