Join our team as an Engineering Drawing and Document Specialist I, where you’ll play a key role in supporting Minnesota Power’s capital projects by managing engineering drawings and documentation. Under direct supervision, you’ll ensure compliance with company standards and facilitate accurate document tracking, storage, and retrieval. This role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and effective communication to collaborate with internal teams and external consultants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Under supervision, ensure Company drawing documentation process compliance standards and tools are utilized by both internal resources and external consultants to accurately retrieve, prepare, update, track, and store project documents before and during project implementation.
+ Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
+ Collaborate with document content owners for revisions to project information.
+ Role requires attention to detail and effective communication skills to establish and maintain productive working relationships.
EDUCATION:
• Associate degree or higher required; preferred fields included drafting, engineering technology, math, or a closely related discipline.
EXPERIENCE:
• No prior experience required; experience with electronic document management software is a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective working relationships. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and document control software. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand drafting concepts. • May be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
+ The expected hourly compensation range for this position is $23.10 - $28.40. Compensation offered to the selected candidate will vary depending on relevant knowledge, skills, training, experience, and market conditions.
