Duties Description Under guidance and/or supervision of the Professional Engineer 1 (Industrial) and/or Professional Engineer 2 (Industrial), the incumbent within the Division of Safety & Health (DOSH) will:• Review, evaluate, and develop recommendations, implement determination on variance petitions associated with public/private sector programs and provide expert engineering consultation on safety and health matters to the Division of Safety and Health staff. • Consult with the PE 1 (Industrial) and/or PE 2 (Industrial) before meeting and dealing with the public, professional engineers, architects, and other professional consultants.• Assist the PE1 and/or PE 2 at public hearings on revised and new standards and providing additional technical information. • Need to be free to travel occasionally and provide a satisfactory means of transportation whenever necessary.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide program (NY HELPS).
