    Material Handler

    Job Description

    Under direct supervision, the Material Handler facilitates the receipt, verification, computer transaction, and physical movement of all inventory and non-inventory items within the system work area at the customer site. This will include order selection/ picking, inventory, cycle counts, etc.

    Responsibilities

    + Facilitate physical material movement between Cleanroom Lay Down Area and System Work Area.

    + Conduct weekly cycle counts of inventory in the System Work Area.

    + Log material moved in/out of the system work area and handed off to engineers via computer systems.

    + Expedite line down parts and urgent material needs to the appropriate work areas.

    + Coordinate with engineers to ensure needed items are available for scheduled work for shift.

    + Log material confirmations via computer systems to account for parts installed, used part returns, un-used part returns, and tool returns.

    + Perform activities related to daily material staging, daily material returns, and system work area organization.

    + Facilitate physical material movement between system work areas for re-allocations.

    + Prepare materials to ensure proper identification, packaging, and completeness of items for return.

    + Interface with SAP Coordinators on completion of daily staging, returns, and material investigations.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    + Read and interpret data, information, and documents.

    + Observe and respond to people and situations and interact with others encountered in the course of work.

    + Learn and apply new information or skills.

    Essential Skills

    + Forklift operation

    + Material handling

    + Assembly

    + Inspection

    + Quality assurance

    + Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cleanroom environment

    + Experience in a warehouse environment

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

    + Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats

    + Excellent customer service skills with an understanding of customer relationship building

    + Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, and electronic email systems

    Work Environment

     

    The role requires adherence to gowning requirements for extended periods in a cleanroom environment. It includes occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and the ability to work under deadlines. Responsibilities involve periodic travel to regional and overseas sites for product technical support and special support projects. The position involves technical work activity in a clean-room production environment and/or laboratory setting, with a moderate temperature and noise level.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Taylor, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $56160.00/yr.
