The Idaho Health & Welfare’s Congregate Care Bureau is hiring Family SupportClinical Supervisorfor eitherBlackfootorWestgatefield office. Clinical Supervisor are an essential component of the Congregate Care Bureau's mission: ensuring that youth receive the right level of care, the appropriate treatment, and the necessary duration of support. Supervising the Family Support Clinicians (FSCs) who provide clinical support and psychoeducation to birth, foster, post adoption, other caregivers, aiming to stabilize youth within their communities, prevent placement disruptions, and assist with healthy Congregate Care transitions during discharge. Through immediate intervention and therapeutic strategies, FSCs work to prevent youth from entering the foster care system by maintaining stability within their home environments and ensuring continuity of care.
The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
+ Oversee system performance, policy design, and statewide partnerships.
+ Ensures operational consistency, performance monitoring, and day-to-day problem resolution.
+ Works with Family Support Clinicians to measure and analyze outcomes in meeting objectives and priorities for services including preparing outcome reports.
+ Ensures services are provided in accordance with laws, regulations, contract requirements, and quality standards, including evidence-based practices.
+ Recruits, hires, supervises, and trains staff, including performance reviews and corrective/disciplinary actions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum and specialty qualifications for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.
+ Master's degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychosocial rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric nursing, or very closely related field of study Per Idaho Codes §54-3201, §54-2303, and/or §54-3402.
+ Some knowledge of supervisory practices. T ypically gained through completion of a class or seminar (of more than 1 day) specifically covering supervisory practices or the elements of supervision, OR completion of a college-level personnel-related course covering supervisory practices, OR lead work experience that involved work assignment, direction, and monitoring of staff.
+ Some knowledge of community organization/development principles and processes.Typically gained by completion of community organization/development course or workshops equivalent to three semester hours of college credit or 40 classroom hours, OR direct services role in case management or psychosocial or rehabilitative therapy or counseling and applying these principles in community development role.
+ Experience providing social/treatment services in a correctional, institutional, clinical and/or community-based setting. Typically gained by at least two years' experience, post-master's degree, providing direct clinical services/practice conducting assessments, crisis interventions, case management, treatment plans, therapy, follow-up, evaluations, treatment, reports, etc., for clients in a community-based setting, project, or program.
+ Experience providing in-service skills training to professional staff. Typically gained by leadwork/team leader, or supervisory or managerial assignments where you developed and conducted in-service skills training for individual or groups.
+ Requires licensure in one of the following areas: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3206, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405, Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in accordance with Idaho Code 54-3405.
