Job Description
Join a rapidly growing company specializing in custom metal fabrication for industrial applications. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will support process development, documentation, and continuous improvement across fabrication, welding, powder coating, and assembly operations. This role is crucial in meeting the increased demand from the data center sector.
Responsibilities
+ Spend approximately 90% of time on the production floor, working closely with welders and operators to observe processes and gather accurate data.
+ Develop and implement robust standard work for all production processes, ensuring clarity and consistency.
+ Collaborate with production teams across shifts to align with the production schedule and avoid delays in completing standard work.
+ Monitor and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and prevent gaps caused by product availability or schedule changes.
+ Understand and communicate the business impact of standard work on quality, efficiency, and safety.
+ Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance workflow and reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.
+ Maintain organized documentation and ensure timely updates to work instructions and process standards.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering
+ Skilled in developing and writing production work instructions
+ Strong ability to collaborate with production teams and identify process gaps
+ Proficient in blueprint reading
+ Familiarity with AutoCAD and SAP systems
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of hands-on experience, or Associate's degree with 8-10 years of hands-on experience
+ Experience with Kaizen, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies
+ Understanding of Lean principles such as lead time reduction and SMED
+ Interest in growing into design and new product introduction responsibilities
Work Environment
Work Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts. Start and end times are flexible, but the employee must be present from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM to overlap with the second shift team. The position is based in a new facility with ample room for growth and learning across various business aspects. The company is expanding, providing a stable and dynamic work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vandalia, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $60.10/hr.
