    Job Description

    We are seeking a proactive software professional with experience and interest in creating Python tests. The ideal candidate will be familiar with testing criteria, CI/CD pipeline, and test plan creation, mocking, and test-to-requirement strategies.

    Responsibilities

    + Create automated tests, frameworks, and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

    + Contribute to the design of test plans, test cases, and overall test strategies for hardware and software.

    + Develop test campaigns and performance metrics to ensure that software and systems meet requirements and scale effectively.

    + Analyze test results, identify software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

    + Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive testing and product quality.

    + Experience with integrated systems, especially those involving both hardware and software, such as satellites or other complex engineered systems.

    + Communicate effectively with diverse engineering teams and stakeholders.

    Essential Skills

    + Software test engineering and creation of test cases for hardware/software test scenarios.

    + Experience writing software for automating testing of hardware.

    + Experience with APIs to control lab equipment using Python.

    + Networking equipment and Linux proficiency.

    + 3-5 years of experience testing and verifying embedded software.

    + Strong expertise with Python relevant to testing automation and infrastructure.

    + Expertise with CI/CD tools.

    + Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks and tools.

    + Familiarity with coding standards, source control, build processes, and operations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + + Bachelor of Science or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

    + Ability to design and maintain physical and soft infrastructure, including networking security, systems, deployments, and automation.

    + Experience with Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.

    + A hardware testing mindset.

    + Hardware test bench development experience.

    + Familiarity with agile methodologies, software product and release life cycles, and integrating open-source software.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position requires working onsite in Redmond, WA or Northridge, CA.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $85.00/hr.
