    Job Title: Systems EngineerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be involved in the development, design, and presentation of complex integrated physical systems, including mechanical, electrical, and communications systems. You will work with an experienced team of engineers to combine your technical engineering expertise with project management skills.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop, design, and present complex integrated physical systems.

    + Combine technical engineering expertise with project management to design, analyze, develop, test, and debug components and systems.

    + Develop and manage schedules, labor estimates, critical deliverables, system requirements, monthly progress reports, and project completion estimates.

    + Research and ensure the implementation of military standards for subsystem interfaces.

    + Attend multidisciplinary meetings to develop key performance requirements for subsystems.

    + Translate complex subsystem information into concise metrics supportable through testing and analysis methodologies.

    + Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system design specifications, integration plans, and testing procedures.

    + Ensure all stakeholders have a clear understanding of the system's capabilities, connections, and limitations.

    + Design and develop integrated systems that meet military specifications and requirements.

    + Maintain and report on schedule, risks, spending, and purchases at the organizational level.

    + Specify key subsystem and full system tests to demonstrate system compliance with designs.

    + Collaborate on the integration of various subsystems, including hardware, electrical signals, and software components.

    + Design and coordinate testing to ensure the integrated system meets performance and functionality standards.

    + Ensure compliance with relevant military standards and regulations.

    + Engage with military clients to understand their needs and requirements and provide technical support.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, systems, or related field).

    + Minimum of 7 years’ experience working on military systems.

    + Extensive experience with systems architecture development, documentation, and assessment.

    + Highly motivated and able to work on a small, dynamic team.

    Work Environment

    You will work in a small engineering environment located in Fulton, MD, with an onsite lab for testing and prototyping. The work is conducted onsite Monday through Friday with flexibility on start times.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fulton, MD.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
