Job Description

Responsibilities
+ Perform analysis, design, and testing of complex designs based on specific objectives.
+ Review industry, customer, and range requirements to support system and subsystem designs.
+ Conduct detailed analyses to verify designs and present findings to management and customers.
+ Lead development, coordination, and execution of test programs to evaluate designs.
+ Lead troubleshooting efforts and perform comprehensive failure investigations.
+ Mentor engineers from a technical standpoint and conduct senior peer reviews.
+ Collaborate with other IPTs, engineering disciplines, and operations/manufacturing groups.
+ Prepare and present electrical engineering materials for Requirements and Design Reviews.
+ Perform qualification, acceptance testing, characterization testing, and test data review.
+ Analyze data to identify trends indicating out of tolerance or degraded part performance.
+ Characterize off-nominal behavior of components through testing.
+ Actively participate and contribute positively while supporting team decisions and goals.
+ Provide quality internal and external customer service.
+ Seek new information sources and provide necessary information to meet customer needs.
+ Escalate issues when required.
+ Derive and decompose requirements through documentation and design meetings.
+ Evaluate uncertainty and risks associated with requirements and designs.
+ Participate in trade studies for internal projects and procured equipment.
+ Prioritize safety in every aspect of the role.
+ Provide formal peer review of engineering designs or analyses for team members.
Essential Skills
+ Broad understanding of industry and company electrical engineering technical standards.
+ Technical expertise and working knowledge of related disciplines.
+ Electrical systems testing and integration experience.
+ Experience working with various military standards.
+ Proficiency in missile systems testing and documentation.
+ Experience with Matlab and Python.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ BS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years' experience or 3 years' experience with a Master's degree.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret Security clearance.
+ At least one year of system-level testing experience.
Work Environment
This role is fully onsite at the Launch and Exploration division in Arizona. You will work a 1st Shift 9/80A schedule in a fast-paced team environment alongside integration and test engineers and design engineers
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
