    Job Title: Drafter

    Job Description

    This role involves performing nearly all work on the computer, receiving drawings from clients with the majority of CAD work completed. The drafter will manage the data in these drawings and translate files into shop detail drawings. Projects may be handled independently or as part of a team, varying in size based on the project's scope. The work is strictly 2D with no 3D or product design involved.

    Responsibilities

    + Manage and translate client drawings into detailed shop drawings.

    + Work independently or collaboratively on projects, depending on project size.

    + Ensure accuracy and completeness of 2D drawings.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 1 year of experience.

    + Strong mechanical inclination, demonstrated through hands-on experience in car maintenance, home improvement, or shop work.

    + Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation, and H-look-ups.

    + Ability to read and interpret flat prints and blueprints.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associate's degree in CAD/drafting.

    + Preferred 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.

    + Preferred 2+ years of drafting experience within a piping setting.

    + Experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or welding is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    Join a growing and expanding company with a diverse clientele. Work within a team of 10 drafters and checkers. The position requires interfacing with a noisy fabrication shop environment.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kaukauna, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
