Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Test Engineering Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with HVAC probes, sensors, and VFD checks, and the ability to troubleshoot 480V and 120V systems. This role involves 0–10VDC and 4–20mA signal troubleshooting, performing leak tests such as nitrogen and pressure decay, reading electrical schematics, and interpreting Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID). Proficiency in using multimeters, scopes, and current clamps is essential, along with an understanding of PLC ladder logic basics. The candidate will also be responsible for following and interpreting test procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as creating and modifying technical documentation.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct HVAC probes, sensors, and VFD checks.
+ Troubleshoot 480V and 120V systems.
+ Perform 0–10VDC and 4–20mA signal troubleshooting.
+ Execute leak tests using nitrogen and pressure decay methods.
+ Read and interpret electrical schematics and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
+ Utilize multimeters, scopes, and current clamps effectively.
+ Understand and apply PLC ladder logic basics.
+ Follow and interpret test procedures and SOPs accurately.
+ Create and modify technical documentation.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with HVAC probes, sensors, and VFD checks.
+ Ability to troubleshoot 480V and 120V systems.
+ Proficiency in 0–10VDC and 4–20mA signal troubleshooting.
+ Capability to perform nitrogen and pressure decay leak tests.
+ Competence in reading electrical schematics and P&ID.
+ Skill in using multimeters, scopes, and current clamps.
+ Understanding of PLC ladder logic basics.
+ Ability to follow and interpret test procedures and SOPs.
+ Creating and modifying technical documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
+ Experience with low voltage testing and debugging.
+ Familiarity with test development processes.
+ Knowledge of software and hardware integration.
Work Environment
This position is with a contract manufacturer. The role involves utilizing various testing equipment and adhering to technical procedures. Candidates should be comfortable working in an engineering environment with a focus on electrical and electronic testing.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
