Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description

Join our dynamic team as a Manufacturing Engineer where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products are designed for optimal manufacturing and meet customer specifications. You will be part of an exciting rebuild phase, contributing to the development and implementation of new product lines and equipment designs.

Responsibilities

+ Generate detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering datasheets, and control narratives from drawings.

+ Assist the Design team to ensure products are optimally designed for ease of manufacture and to meet customer specifications.

+ Provide engineering and technical support for the layout, design, and evaluation of production equipment.

+ Collaborate with other department members to provide engineering support.

+ Ensure the design of processing equipment adheres to current standards, incorporating the latest standards and technology once validated.

+ Provide manufacturing-related assistance in handling Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and dispositions.

+ Work with Quality Assurance to develop inspection test plans and test stations.

+ Collaborate with Materials and Quality teams to support product procurement and resolve open engineering issues.

+ Ensure work complies with the facility’s quality management system and inventory control practices.

+ Research and implement new equipment designs and new product lines as directed by management.

+ Comply with internal engineering standards.

+ Perform various other duties as assigned by the manager.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, application engineering, or design engineering.

+ Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering.

+ Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.

+ Experience in process improvement and process engineering.

+ Strong understanding of the full design process and engineering change controls.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and techniques.

+ Kaizen and continuous improvement mindset.

+ Ability to build strong relationships with sales and assembly teams.

+ Willingness to engage with assemblers on the manufacturing floor.

+ Understanding of procurement processes.

+ Experience with low-volume assembly lines.

Work Environment

The facility hosts a total of 16 team members, offering a collaborative mix of design and manufacturing floor activities. With four product lines currently in place, the team is eager to add three more. The environment is low volume and not automated, with all products assembled by hand.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Duncan, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
