Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
The role involves rooming patients, preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, patient charting, appointment scheduling, managing prior authorizations, and providing assistance throughout the office as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Room patients and prepare exam rooms efficiently.
+ Take and record patient vitals accurately.
+ Complete patient charting and manage appointment scheduling.
+ Handle prior authorizations and assist with insurance verification.
+ Assist in various office duties as required.
Essential Skills
+ Strong clinical and administrative skills.
+ Experience in phlebotomy including heel and finger sticks, and butterfly technique.
+ Knowledge of pediatric care and medical assisting.
+ Proficiency in appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ MA Diploma/Certificate/RMA preferred, but not necessary (CNA/EMT considered).
+ Experience with ECW EMR is preferred.
+ Prior pediatric experience is preferred.
Work Environment
This position is located in a very busy pediatric office, where you may see up to 15 patients in an hour. The office operates with 11 providers, with variable shifts from 9 AM to 5 PM or 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekend work is required on a rotational basis, with shifts from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM on both Saturdays and Sundays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scarsdale, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
