Description
Lead Fisheries Engineer. The ideal candidate would have 15 years + relevant experience. Typically that is a civil engineer or mechanical engineer. The candidate will have to have a current P.E, license at some state in the Pacific Northwest or CA, with the ability to obtain licenses in other states.
As our Lead, the candidate needs to have experience and proven success as a Seller – Doer. That is, experience leading/managing engineering design teams to deliver successful projects, and experience in client service, business development, preparing/pricing proposals and negotiating contracts for work.
Most of our fisheries engineering projects are on the west coast, and the candidate must have very good regional experience. The fisheries issues on the west coast are quite different than in the eastern U.S., so that regional experience is essential.
Collaborate with multiple disciplines throughout the organization to execute on current projects related to fish passages, hatcheries, and various systems on dams. You will take an established book of business to drive delivery with various customers throughout the Northwest.
Skills & Qualifications
Project Delivery: Lead a team of experts across various disciplines including structural, mechanical, electrical, biology, and hydraulics.
Team Leadership: Grow and integrate the team internally, ensuring seamless collaboration and project execution.
Client and Public Engagement: Work closely with clients and the public, including Native American tribes, wildlife agencies, fish and game departments, and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
Fish Passage Projects: Oversee heavy structural projects related to fish passage, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Must have fish passage or ladder experience in relation to dams.
Hatcheries Projects: Manage hatcheries projects, leveraging expertise in wildlife and fish management.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
