    Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our firm, you will design grading and elevation for medium-sized subdivisions and commercial buildings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will collaborate with our project manager and the President to ensure high-quality outcomes.     Responsibilities

    + Design exterior path-of-travel, frontage improvements, grading and drainage plans, and pavement repair assessment plans.

    + Prepare record drawings, site improvement plans, utility plans, and topographic surveys.

    + Engage in residential and commercial land development, including tentative maps.

    + Create and store electronic drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Collaborate with engineers and designers to execute multiple projects efficiently.

    Essential Skills

    + California PE license or EIT at least.

    + 5+ years of experience independently solving complex engineering problems in land development.

    + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

    + Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute work on multiple projects.

    + Experience preparing construction documents for residential and commercial subdivisions.

    + Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    + Exceptional communication and team-building skills.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in grading and drainage, utilities, hydrology, and site design for residential and commercial/industrial projects.

    + Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

    + Familiarity with construction standards and terminology.

    + Communication with local municipalities, consultants, and clients.

    The work environment is laid back with flexible hours, allowing for a great work-life balance. You will spend approximately 90% of your time in the office and 10% on job sites.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Castro Valley, CA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
