    Job Title: Civil Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Civil Engineer, you will perform roadway and highway design, grading and drainage, utilities, green infrastructure, work zone traffic control, site layout, and other transportation engineering tasks. You will develop civil and highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details using engineering software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation. Additionally, you will prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and other contract documents, while supporting multi-disciplinary design development teams in project execution. This role also requires providing support for other engineering activities as required and performing additional responsibilities as appropriate for the position.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform roadway and highway design, grading and drainage, utilities, and green infrastructure tasks.

    + Develop civil and highway design plans, profiles, sections, and details using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

    + Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents.

    + Support multi-disciplinary design development teams in project execution.

    + Provide support for other engineering activities as required.

    + Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate for the position.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in civil engineering, highway design, and roadway design.

    + Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.

    + In-depth knowledge of inRoads and Openroads.

    + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

    + 5+ years of experience with NYCDOT and NYCDDC civil/highway projects.

    + EIT certification and skills in design, drainage, and grading.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Design experience for civil and highway projects.

    Work Environment

    The office is located in the Financial District. You will start with 5 days in the office during onboarding, then transition to a hybrid schedule of either 4 days in and 1 day out, or 3 days in and 2 days out, depending on manager and candidate preference. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design streets, highways, interchanges, railroad sites, and other New York infrastructure projects.

    This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
