Job Title: Senior Engineer - Catheter Product Development EngineerJob Description
The Senior Engineer – Catheter Product Development Engineering will lead the design and development activities for medical device programs. This role requires expertise in concept generation, requirements generation, prototyping, 3D modeling, and 2D print creation. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading complex catheter development projects from inception to high-volume production.
Responsibilities
+ Lead design and development activities for complete medical device development programs.
+ Create technical execution plans and deliverables with the project manager.
+ Execute design and development project-related activities within the internal team.
+ Engage with customers on technical deliverables with confidence.
+ Generate concepts and solve technical problems using strong engineering skills.
+ Mentor and guide engineers in conducting engineering analysis on designs and concepts.
+ Oversee documentation practices for requirements, design outputs, design verification, and testing.
+ Communicate complex information concisely and clearly to collaborators, including customers and team members.
+ Make technical decisions on projects, such as vendor selection and critical design aspects.
+ Champion continuous improvement and drive organizational change.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in medical device development.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
+ Expertise in catheter product development.
+ Strong knowledge of engineering functional areas such as product development and process engineering.
+ Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
+ Creativity in applying engineering principles to solve complex problems.
+ Proficiency in data-driven decision-making using statistical tools.
+ Strong independent problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%, including international travel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Engineering or related field is advantageous.
+ Anatomical and clinical knowledge of coronary, peripheral, or neurological procedures is helpful.
+ Experience with new technology development.
+ Skill in mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers.
+ Ability to influence cross-functional relationships to drive results.
Work Environment
The work environment is business casual within an office setting. Travel between various sites is required as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
Medevio is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. The expected hiring range for this position is between $115,000 and $155,000 based upon a full-time schedule and level of a position hired. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity. This position is bonus eligible, with a target bonus of 10-15% depending on level of position hired. Our total compensation package includes eligibility for comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, education reimbursement, paid parental leave and paid time off.
