    Job Title: Traveling Assistant Project Manager (Pacific West)

    Job Description

    The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to project managers on various projects of varying complexity and may independently manage smaller, less complex projects. The role involves acting as a coordinator and project liaison to clients, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include maintaining document control, managing databases, and coordinating project activities to ensure goals are achieved within set timelines and budgets.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist global practice and engineering disciplines with Engineering and/or Construction projects.

    + Support the Project Management team in developing request for proposal packages, managing the bid and selection process, and creating detailed scope of work documents.

    + Oversee contractors' submittals, requests for information, supplemental design instructions, and site drawing logs.

    + Verify contractor compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and material management programs.

    + Execute contracts, including managing change orders, approving invoices, and overseeing schedules.

    + Contribute to project controls efforts, including cost reporting, scheduling, project setup and closeout, and field progress tracking.

    + Assist in developing internal and external reports such as project budgeting, cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and status reports.

    + Participate in project risk reviews and consult with the Legal Department as needed.

    + Close out contract and project documentation.

    + Adhere to safety programs, trainings, and policies, and promote safety and health performance among project team members and subcontractors.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

    + Comply with all policies and standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited program.

    + 4 years of relevant experience.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work overtime on short notice.

    + High proficiency with Microsoft Office.

    + Ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-discipline project team to resolve design or drawing issues.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with Primavera Contract Manager or similar change management software is preferred.

    + Field experience in heavy industrial, power delivery, power generation, or mining projects.

    + Experience in safety and health performance.

    Work Environment

    The role involves 100% travel, with most projects located in the northwest region, including Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The main base is in Vancouver, WA, with flexibility for remote work. The work schedule includes two weeks of travel followed by a four-day weekend, and employees are granted 30 remote/work-from-home days per year. The company provides a flexible schedule starting as early as 6:30 AM and ending at 3:30 PM.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
