Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced professional engineer with FAA delegation authority to perform a comprehensive audit of aircraft structural data. This individual will validate design, analysis, and test data to ensure compliance with airworthiness requirements. The role is critical in confirming that aircraft designs meet certification requirements and are structurally sound, maintainable, and safe for flight. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Conduct detailed audits of design, test data, and analysis. • Evaluate non-linear finite element models (FEM) and assess for correct solver parameters, material models, and assumptions. • Review analytical models and ensure consistency to engineering drawings. • Validate compliance findings against the provided basis of certification. • Perform hand calculations to verify key results and confirm model validity and accuracy. • Deliver a formal audit report detailing findings, errors, and recommendations. • Stand by audit conclusions and support regulatory review processes. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • Citizenship: U.S. or Canadian. • Experience: Minimum 15 years in aircraft structural engineering, with progressive roles in design, analysis, and compliance. • Delegation: FAA DER or equivalent delegation status (Structures). • Software Proficiency: o SolidWorks (Design) o NE Nastran (Analysis) o MS Office (Excel,Word) o MathCAD • Technical Expertise: o Structural analysis and non-linear finite element modeling o Airworthiness certification and compliance demonstration o Aircraft materials, fatigue life, and maintenance planning • Leadership: o Experience leading technical teams and mentoring engineers o Capable of assigning and reviewing work for compliance and quality ________________________________________ Preferred Titles/Background • Lead Engineer • Deputy Chief Engineer • Technical Manager • FAA DER (Structures)

This is a Contract position based out of Brooksville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $190000.00/hr.
