    Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

     

    

    Job Description

    We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead product development for minimally invasive surgical devices. This role involves designing electro-mechanical systems, developing prototypes, executing engineering protocols, and supporting design transfer to manufacturing. The ideal candidate combines technical depth with hands-on execution in a regulated environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead the design and development of electro-mechanical systems for minimally invasive surgical devices.

    + Create and revise detailed engineering drawings and models using SolidWorks and GD&T to meet tight tolerances in a regulated environment.

    + Optimize designs for manufacturability and cost efficiency; collaborate with vendors on tooling requirements.

    + Drive the design process from concept through clinical trials, ensuring compliance with ISO and IEC standards.

    + Incorporate risk controls into design decisions and documentation.

    + Support design transfer to manufacturing.

    Essential Skills

    + 7+ years mechanical design experience in regulated industries, with a strong preference for medical devices.

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

    + Advanced expertise in SolidWorks and GD&T.

    + Proven experience in design for manufacturing, tooling/fixture design, and manufacturing support.

    + Strong understanding of materials, mechanics, and tolerance analysis.

    + Ability to manage projects and interface with cross-functional teams and vendors.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in new product development for medical devices.

    + Knowledge of risk management integration in design.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, CO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
