    The Senior Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in upholding manufacturing, quality, and food safety objectives. This position is instrumental in supporting effective production line layout, equipment improvements, operational excellence, and overall manufacturing efficiency and product quality. Collaborating closely with teams such as Food Safety and Quality, Manufacturing, and Product Development, this role offers a path to a Director of Engineering position, providing a high-impact opportunity for a detail-oriented and growth-driven professional.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, budget, implement, and optimize new and existing manufacturing processes to maintain equipment and systems for optimal performance and compliance.

    + Analyze production yields and workflows to identify bottlenecks, developing solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

    + Diagnose and resolve issues related to equipment malfunctions, process failures, or product defects, utilizing operational excellence tools to drive improvements.

    + Manage the Maintenance team, ensuring proper training, resource allocation, and schedule adherence while developing preventative/predictive maintenance programs.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new technologies or process refinements, managing relationships with contractors and vendors.

    + Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance quality, mentoring and training cross-functional team members.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.

    + 5+ years of experience in food plant engineering, process engineering, or related manufacturing roles.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, CAD, and MiniTab.

    + Knowledge of HACCP, USDA, FDA regulations related to the food processing industry.

    + Experience with GFSI and SQF guidelines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
