Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant/Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Adrian, Michigan. This role focuses on managing accounts receivable aging, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Ideal candidates are proactive problem-solvers with strong accounting expertise and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and manage accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collections and accurate reporting.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and accounts, maintaining clear documentation.

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure alignment with financial records.

• Conduct forensic accounting tasks to identify and address irregularities.

• Utilize accounting knowledge to support accurate general ledger entries and adjustments.

• Prepare aging reports and provide insights on outstanding balances.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and maintain compliance with SOPs.

• Use Microsoft Excel to create and analyze financial reports effectively.

• Support the preparation of bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Contribute to the development of streamlined workflows for accounts receivable functions. Requirements • Strong background in accounting principles and practices.

• Proven experience in accounts receivable management and aging analysis.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving invoice discrepancies.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis.

• Familiarity with forensic accounting methods and techniques.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative as a self-starter.

• Knowledge of standard operating procedures (SOPs) in accounting environments.

• Experience with accounting software; familiarity with Global Shop is a plus but not required.
