Description

We are looking for a skilled Controller to join a thriving manufacturing company in Northeast Iowa. This role offers the opportunity to oversee critical financial operations and contribute to strategic decision-making. As a key member of the team, you will manage accounting processes, lead a small team, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the month-end close process for multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Implement and maintain standard costing systems to support inventory management and decision-making.

• Audit and manage inventory records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Analyze financial variances and provide actionable insights to improve performance.

• Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting processes to align with organizational goals.

• Assist in strategic planning initiatives to support long-term growth.

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of two accounting professionals.

• Develop and refine financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, particularly within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in standard costing and inventory accounting practices.

• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close procedures.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis.

• Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across departments.
