The RWDR fellowship program within Business Insights & Technology (BIT) is designed for early-career researchers passionate about the real-world evidence generation through the application of epidemiology, biostatistics, and artificial intelligence (AI). Fellows will explore how digital and AI-driven methods can be harnessed in analyzing large-scale real-world datasets-including electronic medical records (EMR), insurance claims, and registries-to advance our understanding of diseases and interventions.

Over the two-year fellowship, participants receive a comprehensive industry overview, gaining hands-on experience in applying AI-enabled analytics and real-world evidence strategies in the pharmaceutical setting. Through direct involvement in innovative projects, Fellows will expand their epidemiologic and statistical expertise, refine digital skills, and tackle meaningful research assignments-all while becoming highly marketable for future careers at BMS RWDR or in the wider pharmaceutical industry.

Fellows will conceptualize, execute, and communicate findings from diverse research projects through rotations from therapeutical areas to data sourcing and strategy. Their studies will focus on how real-world evidence, powered by AI tools and approaches, supports regulatory submissions, health technology assessments, and clinical trial strategies, ultimately driving robust and effective evidence generation tactics.
