    Position Summary

    RSI is recruiting for an Employee Communications Specialist who will beresponsible for coordinating the execution of employee communication products and works as a liaison with members of the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Legacy Management Support Partner (LMSP) team to distribute accurate and timely information to employees. This position falls within the Editorial and Media team and splits time between the Safety & Health (S&H) team as a communications liaison, and the Employee Communications team for internal communications tasks.

    **FLSA:** Exempt

    **Hiring Range: $** 58,000.00 – 62,000.00 per year.(The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

     

    This position is required to travel 5-10% of the time.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Serve as the LMSP Education, Communications, History and Outreach (ECHO) Point of Contact for communications needs for S&H projects. Responsibilities include developing communications materials and campaigns, engaging with the S&H managers group, and participating in relevant S&H trainings.

    + Lead S&H multimedia and print efforts in coordination with Communication Products and various LMSP teams, conforming to communication branding guidelines, writing styles, and approval processes.

    + Serve as liaison to LMS S&H Manager and LMS S&H Special Projects Manager to ensure effective awareness of S&H special projects and delivery of messages.

    + Lead planning, development, review, and distribution of E2SH&Q Outlook Newsletter

    + Compile data from available communication platforms on a consistent basis or as required by supervisors, managers, and cross-functional team members. Use data to develop proactive plans and/or forecast communication plan results, and as appropriate or possible, offer advice for improvement.

    + Collaborate with assigned LMSP teams to manage internal communications needs, including drafting messages, overseeing email platforms, developing communications plans and campaigns, and ensuring compliance with branding guidelines and approval processes.

    + Reviews and analyzes communications data to inform strategy while developing and reviewing communication plans. Collaborates with the Employee Communications team to ensure a cohesive strategy and process when supporting LMSP communications needs.

    + Follow Employee Communications best practices to ensure communications are properly identified as records and directs the communications to be archived as appropriate.

    + Monitor and manage email boxes (e.g., Employee Communications, LMS-VPP) as directed, ensuring timely response and execution of requested messages.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Required Education and Years of Relevant Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, journalism, public affairs, orrelatedfield.

    + Minimum of 3-5 years of relevantexperience.

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Valid Driver’sLicense

    Essential Physical Requirements

     

    Medium: Work involves moving objects by exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or an above-negligible amount and up to 10 pounds constantly. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
