Description

We are partnering with a top-tier law firm seeking a Paralegal to join their team in Milwaukee. This role combines traditional paralegal responsibilities with financial operations, offering a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys both legal and accounting work.

What You’ll Do

Paralegal Responsibilities:

+ Draft and prepare legal documents including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare proxies.

+ Assist with trust administration, probate filings, and Medicaid applications.

+ Prepare petitions, affidavits, inventories, and waivers; track matters through completion.

+ Meet with clients for document execution and funding-related matters.

+ Maintain client files and ensure compliance with confidentiality standards.

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

+ Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy.

+ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

+ Manage accounts payable/receivable, payment plans, and collections.

+ Perform bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with IOLTA requirements.

+ Process payroll and assist with retirement plan reporting.

+ Monitor expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of paralegal experience.

+ Experience in Trusts & Estates (T& E) preferred.

+ Familiarity with accounting or QuickBooks is a plus.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
