Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and analyzing costs to support operational efficiency and profitability. This position requires expertise in manufacturing cost accounting and familiarity with JD Edwards systems. Note: This is an in-office position with great flexibility (starting/ending times).

Base pay range is $85K to $100K plus bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and manage cost data using JD Edwards systems to ensure accurate reporting and decision-making.

• Apply process costing methodologies to allocate direct and indirect costs effectively.

• Prepare detailed cost forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports to support financial planning.

• Collaborate with production and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and cost allocation.

• Implement and maintain cost accounting controls that comply with company policies and regulatory standards.

• Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely cost data.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization within the organization.

• Monitor and report on key financial metrics to drive efficiency and profitability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least three years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in JD Edwards systems and process costing techniques.

• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

• Familiarity with inventory valuation and cost allocation processes.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in cost accounting.
