MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

General Summary: JBS is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is critical to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our high-speed production equipment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Must pass a mechanical knowledge test.

+ Physical requirements: Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, work with a variety of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.

+ Work environment: Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat and cold conditions.

+ These are evening and night shift positions

+ High School Diploma or GED required.

+ 2 – 3 years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment preferred.

+ Basic computer skills a plus.

+ No licenses required; training provided.

+ Position requires a drug test and background check.

+ Ability to learn quickly, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.

+ Strong teamwork skills and willingness to perform a variety of tasks

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.

+ Perform welding tasks (Stainless Steel, MIG, TIG) as needed.

+ Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.

+ Perform Labeling and Tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications.

+ Support the plant equipment, and maintaining a safe plant meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements.
