**The Stratasys Summer Internship Program** is a 12-week paid experience from May to August that lets you make an impact from day one. As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience on real, high-impact projects—contributing to key initiatives or even leading your own, depending on your skills and initiative.
But the experience goes far beyond daily project work. Our campus team is dedicated to helping you grow professionally and personally through 3D printing training sessions, lunch & learns, and coffee chats with department leaders who are shaping the future of additive manufacturing. The **Manufacturing Engineer internship** offers an exciting opportunity to jump-start your career at Stratasys! This hands-on role will immerse you directly into additive manufacturing, where you'll gain valuable experience working with cutting-edge technologies. You’ll develop skills in process development, continuous improvement, kaizen event, and project management. You’ll also get hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting FDM and PolyJet systems, working with advanced equipment and learning how to solve complex challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing:
+ Conduct kaizen event to improve job function/department/process
+ Review procedures, author changes, and release procedures
+ Determine root causes for nonconformances and make recommendations to improve processes
+ Participate on a team leveraging AI to improve manufacturing
+ Quantify lead time to support updated pricing and areas we can expedite processes
+ Support New Product Integration (NPI) efforts for FDM/PolyJet by providing project management, scheduling material testing, data gathering, data analysis and technical reporting
+ Shadow manufacturing engineers
Must have for this role:
+ Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering
+ Basic understanding of manufacturing and product manufacturing processes
+ Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
+ Creative, with a strong desire to deepen your understanding of rapid prototyping applications
+ Self-motivated, able to work effectively on projects with minimal supervision
+ Open to constructive feedback and capable of handling customer concerns professionally
+ This role is on-site five days a week
+ **Local to Minnesota or able to relocate without assistance to the Minnetonka, MN area**
Nice to have:
+ 3D printing experience highly desired
+ Preferred Major(s): Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering
**Travel Requirements:** Between MN Stratasys office sites and local Field Service visits

Additional Information:
For this position, the base salary is $21.50 per hour.
