The opportunity:

* As a Lead you will design and develop software solutions tailored to WestRock business needs.

* The solutions you engineer will be loved by internal and external facing customers and provide considerable business value.

* You will be engaged in various projects that have data needs which are best delivered through secure APIs.

How you will impact WestRock:

* As an Agile development team member, you will be developing and will have significant influence over the development of new data integrations at WestRock.

* You will collaborate with Business Stakeholders, Product Owners, DevOps and QA team members on subjects from design to deployment.

* You will regularly update team management on new methods, tools and practices to support rapid software development and maximize team productivity.

* Create technical specification documents (flow, ERD, etc) based on product owner requirements.

* Estimate, prioritize and plan work items (epics, features, work items, tasks) to be handled during sprint/iterations.

* Participate in creating and amending development standards, guidelines and services for common use by other internal software development teams.

* Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of your expertise.

* Lead, mentor and coach junior team members.

* Continually hone and share your knowledge of available tools, process and methods with the team.

* Most importantly, you will develop. You will develop like a champion.

What you need to succeed:

* BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject or related experience

* 10+ years of hands-on data integration experience required.

* 5+ years of experience, building integrations/ APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. Well versed with API first approach. Cloud hub 2.0 knowledge is good to have.

* MuleSoft certification(s) preferred.

* 3+ years of SQL Server, Athena, Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL.

* 3+ years of experience working with AWS services like S3, SNS, SQS, IAM, cloud watch, event bridge etc.

* Experience working with Kafka (preferably MSK).

* 2+ years of a modern JavaScript framework (React, React Native, Knockout, Bootstrap, etc.)

* Expert in developing RAML specifications, Data weave. Experience with Exchange, API manager and Experience Hub to maintain enterprise APIs.

* Experience using common Mule connectors like jdbc, sftp, smb, kafka, salesforce, SAP, AWS connectors (custom configuration of connectors)

* Experience with AzureDevOps (repos, branching strategy, pipelines, Maven scripts to automate builds).

* Experience with using OAuth, JWT authentication using external Identity providers to secure APIs.

* Experience with webMethods Suite is nice to have.

* Experience working within Agile/Scrum development teams

* Experience working with Agile tools like Team Services or JIRA

* Experience working with container tools and big data a plus

* Experience with IDEs like VSCode and Git.
