    Security Technician: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

     

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

     

    Overview

     

    We are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis .

     

    The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing IP-based security systems in commercial and industrial environments.

     

    Responsibilities include installation of access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware, cable running, and terminations. Candidates should be

     

    self-motivated, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues. During the contractual basis - candidate will be utilizing their own vehicle.

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    + Installation and servicing of CCTV systems

    + Installation and servicing of Card Access systems

    + Installation and servicing of Burglar/Fire Alarm systems

    + Strong construction knowledge

    + Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings

    + Excellent problem-solving skills

    Job Requirements

    + Ability to operate hand and power tools, lift up to 50 lbs, and install/service security devices

    + Clear communication with customers and team members

    + Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (12–32 feet or higher using man lifts)

    + Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook)

    + Ability to recognize and identify colors

    + Dependable and punctual attendance

    + Ability to work full-time schedule and overtime as needed

    + Available for travel, including nights and weekends

    + Required to wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Brunswick, NJ.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
