Job Title: OSP Construction Coordinator

Employment Type: 1-Year Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $25–$35/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced OSP Construction Coordinator to manage turnkey telecommunications construction projects, including Commercial (Metro E and SMB) and Residential (MDU and SDU) builds. This role supports BAU projects for a major cable provider and requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and customer-facing experience.

You will oversee internal crews and contractors, ensuring projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and client expectations. Responsibilities include site surveys, BOM validation, QC inspections, timeline creation, and project closeout. This is a field-heavy role (approximately 75% field, 25% office) with significant collaboration across internal teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

+ Perform site walks, vendor interaction/management, and ensure timely project delivery.

+ Oversee internal crews and contractors; ensure quality control and compliance.

+ Validate Bill of Materials (BOM) and approve line items.

+ Coordinate construction activities and set clear expectations with clients.

+ Conduct QC inspections on coax splicing (565, 625, 715, 825 count) and large fiber bundles.

+ Track progress and updates using Excel and client-specific software.

+ Prepare accurate timelines and ensure adherence to project schedules.

+ Convert digital plans to as-built documentation for project closeout.

+ Participate in weekly client and PM meetings; provide detailed reports and updates.

Required Qualifications

+ 3+ years of experience in Telecommunications OSP Construction, specifically CATV (coax splicing).

+ Experience performing site walks, vendor management, QA/QC, and project tracking for turnkey projects.

+ High engagement and strong communication skills.

+ Must be computer literate; P2 (Comcast) experience preferred but not required.

+ Knowledge of OSP, fiber, coax, aerial construction, and vendor coordination.

+ Customer-facing experience; familiarity with design and permitting is a plus.

Additional Details

+ Work Environment: 75% field, 25% office; local office reporting with remote flexibility once established.

+ Schedule: Full-time with OT opportunities and occasional on-call responsibilities.

+ Contract: 1-year contract-to-hire with strong track record of early conversions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
