    Credentialing Specialist - Medical Staff Affairs

    Work location: 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093

     

    Work hours: Full Time; Days; Monday-Friday; 8a-4:30p; 40 hrs/week

    Medical Affairs Department highlights:

    * The Credential Specialist is assigned to the Medical Staff Affairs department and will provide support to the Director and assist the medical staff.

    * The Credential Specialist interacts in a professional, respectful manner with internal and external customers.

    Here's What You Need

    * High School Diploma or equivalent required

    * Associate Degree preferred

    * Two years of clerical or administrative experience required

    * Advanced or Expert in proficiency in Excel and Adobe Pro preferred

    * Medical staff or credentialing experience preferred

    * Experience with Joint Commission preferred

    What You Will Do

    * Management of ED call schedule

    * Coordinate, monitor, and maintain the credentialing and re-credentialing process

    * Facilitate all aspects of credentialing, including initial appointment, processing reappointment, expirations, as well as clinical privileges for Medical Staff providers, including Insurance Payers with whom we have contracts

    * Work closely with group providers to obtain documents for enrollment

    * Respond to internal and external inquiries on enrollment statuses

    * Maintain provider documents, licenses, directories, files, and enrollments in all applicable locations

    * Track provider license, certification, DEA and professional liability expiration dates to ensure timely renewals
