Job Overview

TEKsystems Inc. is looking for an experienced Cable Technician to join our team in Gallatin, TN. This is a 6-month contract role with the chance to become permanent. Responsibilities

+ Install, maintain, and repair cable systems and equipment.

+ Run and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling, perform punchdowns, and handle low-voltage wiring.

+ Troubleshoot and fix connectivity issues.

+ Configure and set up cable/network devices.

+ Work with team members to ensure smooth network operations.

+ Provide support to users and resolve technical problems.

+ Keep accurate records of equipment and service work.

+ Follow safety guidelines and industry standards.

Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus).

+ Hands-on experience with cable installation and maintenance.

+ Knowledge of routers, switches, cabling, and network systems.

+ Familiarity with VoIP, PBX, and basic network protocols.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

+ Good communication and teamwork abilities.

+ Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Gallatin, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
