    Under direct supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation, and cleanliness in facilities. Maintains supplies as needed. This position is par-time and requires less than 30 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.

     

    NOTE: This is a 29 hour per week position.

    JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES:

    + Maintains supplies as needed. Cleans and straightens assigned areas.

    + Performs floor care and maintenance.

    + Collects, sorts, launders, transports, and distributes linens and uniforms.

    + May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.

    + Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.

    + Operates hand tools.

    + Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Any combination of training and experience that would have enabled the applicant to have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess the following:

    + Experience with buffing and waxing floors.
