    We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facility Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at the 116th at Robins ARB. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support to engineers, assisting with project planning, research, and documentation to ensure successful project execution. This position is ideal for an individual with a foundational understanding of engineering principles and a strong desire to learn and grow.

    Responsibilities

    + Project Support: Assist engineers with various tasks related to the design, development, and testing of projects.

    + Technical Documentation: Prepare and organize technical documents, reports, schematics, and presentations.

    + Research and Analysis: Conduct research to gather data and information needed for new projects, proposals, and project specifications.

    + Drafting and Design: Assist with the creation and modification of engineering drawings using CAD software.

    + Compliance: Help ensure project activities and documents comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

    + Coordination: Coordinate communication between engineering teams and other departments to meet project goals and deadlines.

    + Field Work: Participate in field inspections and data collection, as required.

     

    Required qualifications and skills

     

    + Education: Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or 5-7 Years in related multi-discipline fields.

    + Software Proficiency: Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, Microsoft Projects, scheduling software).

    + Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of fundamental engineering principles and practices.

    + Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving, mathematical, and data analysis skills.

    + Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.

    + Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management abilities.

    + Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and take direction from senior staff.

    + [Optional for field work]: A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record will be required.

    Preferred qualifications

    + Previous internship or related work experience in an engineering support role.

    + Proficiency with other relevant software, such as MATLAB or SolidWorks.

    + Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

    + Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications:

    + Five (5) years work experience in construction management.

    + Job-related experience with Auto CAD and ARC GIS

    The selected applicant will have the additional following requirements:

    1. Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

    2. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.

    3. Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.
