    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Construction Manager oversees the full lifecycle of corporate installation projects – from initial planning and scheduling to on-site execution, through final wrap-up and follow-up. This role manages all aspects of site installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. In addition to leading and coordinating project teams, the Construction Manager is also expected to work hands-on alongside installers throughout the duration of the project. This is a highly engaged, field-focused position that blends leadership with practical, in-the-trenches participation to deliver successful installations.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Field Installation Management

     

    + Leads and manages construction of corporate installation projects at sites nationwide.

    + Coordinates project schedules, installation crews, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth and efficient on-site execution.

    + Ensures all work is completed according to scope, schedule, and budget.

    + Provides clear direction to the site crew and performs on-site problem-solving to address construction challenges and adjust plans as needed.

    + Works hands-on alongside the installation team for the full duration of each project while providing leadership and guidance.

    + Ensures strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA requirements, and company standards.

    + Maintains regular communication with product development, engineering, and clients regarding project progress, issues, and changes.

    + Conducts inspections, walkthroughs, and final sign-off on completed installations.

    + May be required to obtain or maintain professional licenses or certifications in various states, including completing applicable state licensing exams.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related preferred.

    + 10+ years’ experience in commercial or industrial construction (residential experience not considered).

    + Proven experience managing complex construction or installation projects from planning through completion.

    + Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, materials, and installation procedures.

    + In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices.

    + Ability to work hands-on alongside the installation team for the full duration of projects.

    + Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills for on-site challenges.

    + Ability to obtain Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification within 6-months of employment.

    + Must hold a valid driver’s license.

    Travel Requirements

    + Ability to travel nationwide; weekly road travel 2–3 nights at a time (up to 50% of the time).

    + Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

     

    Physical Demands

     

    + Must have the physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

    + Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs, occasionally more with assistance.

    + Must be able to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, and bend frequently during project site activities.

    + Capable of working at heights, including ladders, scaffolding, and elevated platforms, following all safety protocols.

    + Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Previous experience with state contractor’s licenses

    + Heavy equipment experience

    + Experience and/or licensure in electrical and plumbing systems

    + Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
