    Job Summary

    Support the Preconstruction department in a variety of tasks to include accurate bidding of plumbing and HVAC work along with assisting in daily operations or tasks as delegated by the Preconstruction Manager.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    + Review Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, and Plumbing drawings/specifications in order to compile an accurate cost estimate.

    + Takeoff quantity of items (pipe, valves, fittings, ductwork, equipment, etc.) from mechanical and plumbing drawings.

    + Input takeoff (quantity survey) from your own or other estimator’s work to prepare accurate and complete estimates.

    + Obtain scopes of work and pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.

    + Assist in the bid review process, attend turnover meetings, etc.

    + Perform job site surveys and meetings with contractors, facility managers, owners, etc.

    + Analyze historical data, help prepare budgets, etc.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering/business or five years of HVAC industr experience.

    + Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.

    + Career minded

    + Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

    + Physical activities include standing, balancing, climbing stairs and laders, walking and ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required
