Pay Rate: $42/hour
Hours: 37.5 per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Contract Duration: ASAP – May 28, 2026 (remainder of 2025–2026 school year)
Position Overview
The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supports the Speech Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services to students. This role involves clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities within the scope of responsibilities assigned by the supervising SLP and/or physician.
Key Responsibilities
+ Implement therapy plans under the supervision of an SLP.
+ Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
+ Conduct screenings and assessments as directed.
+ Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
+ Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff.
+ Participate in team meetings to support student communication development.
Caseload Details
+ Grade Levels: K–12
+ Caseload Size: Approximately 60–70 students
+ Support: Virtual SLP available
Minimum Requirements
+ Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate’s degree OR bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology or communication disorders.
+ Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience.
+ Current certification/licensure as an SLPA in the state of practice.
+ Compliance with all professional standards of practice.
+ One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred.
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
