Exceptional Children (EC) Lead Teacher – Adapted Curriculum

Schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday

Start Date: December 7, 2025

Duration: 25 weeks

Position Overview

Steele Creek Preparatory Academy is seeking a dedicated EC Lead Teacher for a self-contained adapted classroom serving grades K–6. The classroom includes 4 students supported by 1–2 teaching assistants. The teacher will manage all IEPs for these students and collaborate with families and staff to ensure individualized success.

Requirements

+ NCDPI EC Adapted Curriculum License

+ Out-of-state licenses accepted if candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education and applies for NCDPI EC Adapted Curriculum license

+ Minimum 2 years of teaching experience

+ Strong knowledge of IEP development and compliance
