Special Education Teacher – $65/hr – La Quinta, CA – Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking Special Education Teachers to provide quality services to students in grades TK–3. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this role involves planning and implementing student programs, delivering special instruction, providing tutorial assistance, and collaborating with general education staff.

Assignment Details:

+ Location: La Quinta, CA

+ Start Date: January 5, 2026

+ End Date: Remainder of the school year

+ Schedule: Monday–Friday

+ Hours: 35 hrs/week (7 hrs/day)

+ Duration: 6 months

+ Pay Rate: $65/hr

+ Openings: 2

+ Classroom Setting: Moderate/Severe, SDC

+ Grade Levels: TK–1st Grade, 2nd–3rd Grade

Responsibilities:

+ Provide direct instruction and tutorial assistance

+ Collaborate with parents, students, and staff

+ Participate in planning and implementing individualized student programs

Requirements:

+ Valid state teaching certificate with Moderate/Severe credentials

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

+ Minimum 1 year teaching experience (preferred)

+ Current CPR (if applicable)

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)

+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
