Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
+ Demonstrated ability to create and maintain web and social media presence.
+ Minimum of two years of administrative support experience in higher education or related field.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting professional correspondence.
+ Experience working in a higher education environment, with familiarity with university systems and organizational structure.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
+ Experience with event planning.
Job Description
This position is grant funded and will support the operation of the Center of Research Excellence in Science and Technology ( CREST ) grant.
Job Duties
+ Maintain and update web and social media accounts associated with the program
+ Deliver excellent customer service by answering and screening incoming calls, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiries from staff, faculty, students, and guests with accurate information.
+ Prepare, compose, type, and proofread accurate and timely reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, spreadsheets, and other required documents.
+ Maintain and review files for completeness and compliance.
+ Monitor deadlines for assignments and projects to ensure timely completion.
+ Submit purchasing requests, monitor receiving, and confirm delivery for grant related purposes.
+ Perform other duties as assigned to support the office and organizational objectives.
