Compensation

+ **Competitive hourly range:** $27.47-$33.43 per hour-paid weekly

Position Overview

The Printer Mechanic role is responsible for maintaining production equipment in the printer area and responding to trouble calls as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Follows all documented safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

+ Performs printer general maintenance.

+ Utilizes quarterbacking to facilitate changeovers.

+ Supports production in all areas to troubleshoot and address problems.

+ Maintains spare parts inventory.

+ Documents daily maintenance activity.

+ Maintains excellent housekeeping standards to maintain a safe work area.

+ Maintains effective communication with operators and plant supervision.

+ Immediately addresses and reports safety issues or hazards.

+ Maintains excellent safety record.

+ Maintains an excellent attendance record.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

+ Demonstrated industrial maintenance experience.

+ At least two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including successful completion of jobs or similar activities.

+ Demonstrated self-compliance with company policies and procedures.

+ Experience with a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Maintenance Connection experience preferred.

Skills

An individual must have the following skills in the Printer Mechanic position:

+ Interpersonal skills.

+ Basic computer knowledge.

+ Demonstrate initiative in addressing and/or resolving repair issues.

+ Effective communication skills.

+ Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Physical requirements

This position is located in a manufacturing location. Physical requirements will include, but are not limited to:

+ Standing for lengthy periods (frequent)

+ Sitting for extended periods (frequent)

+ Climbing up/down stairs/ladders/platforms (occasional)

+ Working in a manufacturing environment that includes periods of hot and cold weather, dust, noise above 85 dBA, occasional odors, and moving equipment (frequent)

Working conditions:

An individual who works in the Printer Mechanic position:

+ Must be physically able to lift to 40 pounds on an occasional basis, and work in a hot/cold environment.

+ Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour schedule.

+ Must have a basic knowledge of hand and power tools.

+ Must have personal tools up to one (1) inch.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Technical certification in a related field preferred
