    Job Description

    This is a non-merit, temporary position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section. Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.

     

    The Iowa Veterans Home is seeking an individual who is interested in starting their building trades career.

     

    The selected temporary candidate would work Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. through 3:30 P.M. by assisting our building trades team by hanging pictures, minor furniture repair, installing ceiling tile, modifying modular office furniture and other general carpentry work.

     

    This is a non-merit position. Rate of pay will be $18.07-$22.93.
