About the role
The Account and Business Development Manager will focus on achieving key sales objectives by managing existing beverage accounts, developing new business, and driving the expansion of Kerry’s Taste and Nutrition portfolio across North America’s Refreshing Beverages market. Success requires creativity, strong value-proposition selling, exceptional customer management, agility, persistence, and drive.
Key responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain targeted high-level relationships and contacts with accounts (Key, Emerging, Prospective).
+ Find, execute, and close new business opportunities through standard product, custom product, and integrated solution selling.
+ Perform account planning and key account research to optimize efforts and account penetration.
+ Ensure margin growth year on year and in line with the account plan and annual budget requirements.
+ Regularly inform leadership and relevant sales teams of changing market dynamics and other factors influencing direction of the Refreshing Beverage division.
+ Regularly document activities in Salesforce and maintain an up-to-date pipeline of qualified opportunities.
+ Collaborate with internal technology focused business development leaders for an integrated Go-to-Market approach providing solutions to key Refreshing Beverage customers.
+ Work closely with Marketing, RD+A, and Commercial Finance to ensure customer-specific and division market growth plans are developed, communicated, and executed
+ Assist in supporting sales and opportunity participation growth across relevant Kerry sales teams through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and execution management.
+ Determine innovation requirements to make Kerry a best-in-class taste solution provider within the Refreshing Beverage market.
+ Work closely with Marketing to ensure impactful communications and positioning of Kerry solutions across the division are achieved.
Qualifications and skills
+ Bachelor’s degree required in food science, chemistry, similar, or business related.
+ Minimum 5 years of commercial / sales experience within the beverage industry.
+ Experience from a flavour house is highly desirable.
+ Positive, driven, articulate and persuasive.
+ Strong work ethic, able to work independently.
+ Drive strategy formation and deliver sustained growth.
+ Proficient use of Microsoft office and salesforce.
+ Availability to travel up to 50%.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $123,859 - $213,784 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and Location. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
