UPMC Health Plan is hiring a QAOI Senior Manager. This hybrid role offers a flexible schedule, with a few in-office days each week at UPMC's headquarters in the U.S. Steel Tower in downtown Pittsburgh.
The Sr Manager, QAOI assumes responsibility for a broad scope of responsibility (multiple and/or complex QAOI functional activities) for administration of external audit coordination and oversight, quality assurance, operational integrity, and/or quality assurance and risk management across the ISD. The incumbent is responsible to direct activities related to a broad scope of QAOI initiatives, across multiple functional areas, that impact stakeholder programs and Operations. This position is also responsible for providing leadership and direction to highly skilled professionals, leads, and/or managers to meet or exceed the ISD business objectives. The incumbent serves as the representative leader and owner for all facets of the assigned areas of responsibility and often interacts with mid-level to senior leaders across the ISD.
Responsibilities:

+ Maintain internal operational integrity as well as team production and quality standards.
+ Successful management of assigned scope of multiple or complex responsibilities spanning across multifunctional QAOI teams.
+ Develop clear outcome-driven strategies and tactics to achieve goals, and department objectives.
+ Successfully implement QAOI projects and initiatives - benchmarking and reporting measurable impacts.
+ Keep pulse on Company initiatives and projects that may impact QAOI. Active, value-creation approach. This includes effectively managing the stakeholder perception and experience, as well as leveraging relationships to keep pulse on ISD initiatives and projects that may require quality assurance preparation/controls.
+ Serve as QAOI liaison to vendors, external entities, and potential clients with participation in demonstrations of the departments services and accomplishments.
+ Identify causes for variances and recommending corrective action interventions, systemic solutions, or necessary short-term actions.
+ Provide cost benefits analysis of team activities along with benchmarking and progress metrics/measurements.
+ Design, develop, implement, and support solutions to meet the quality assurance, risk management, operational controls, and financial requirements of the Stakeholder/ ISD.
+ Provide stakeholder/service excellence using a proactive, value-creation approach.
+ Fiscally responsible and sound in the preparation and management of the department budget.
+ Bachelor's Degree required.
+ 8 years related experience (quality assurance, operational controls, risk management, auditing, or customer service).
+ 3 years experience leading others (lead/supervisor/managerial role) while executing strategic objectives and/or goals
+ Compliance experience is strongly preferred.
+ External audit experience is strongly preferred.
+ Compliance training is strongly preferred.
+ CIA, CHC, or CFE certification is a bonus
+ Must also be able to influence with or without direct reporting relationships.
+ Proven ability executing tactics across multiple functional areas.
+ Experience with budget management ensuring expenditures within financial budget goals strongly preferred; Must possess strong business acumen with proficiency of a healthcare portfolio of products, services, and/or functional departments strongly preferred.
+ Ability to create an environment of accountability and performance excellence.
+ Able to manage multiple tasks and projects with the ability to forge strong interpersonal relationships.
+ High degree of professionalism, enthusiasm, and initiative daily.
+ Able to demonstrate excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
+ Must be stakeholder focused and value creation oriented.
+ Proficient with MS Teams, Excel, Word, and Power Point.
+ Ability to use audit technology and tools.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
